Laminated Glass
Laminated glass is a safety glass which unlike float or toughened glass remains in one piece when damaged, as the layers are bonded together during the laminating process. This quality has obvious advantages when used as for shop front glazing and balustrades.
Modern Architectural is calling for more use of natural light within the designs and the use of laminated glass is therefore becoming an important product for the manufacture of stair treads, balustrades and walkways. The Barrtetts group of Companies can offer a bespoke service, manufacturing double or triple laminated glass panels made to client’s specific sizes and requirements. In addition we offer a range of non-slip glass in various designs which can be incorporated as the upper layer on laminated glass stair treads and walkways. The range of designs available can be viewed in the Sekon Madras section of our web site.
Through our strong links with Designers and Architects, we have developed this process to produce decorative laminated glass panels which incorporate a wide range of materials bonded into the glass, wallpaper, fabric and metal meshes have all been successfully used to achieve clients specific design requirements. The final product has the desired decorative appearance combined with the easy maintenance of a glass surface.
